US college stores set to provide inkjet refills
02/2011
The National Association of College Stores (NACS) has signed a deal with Retail Inkjet Solutions to offer cartridge refills to over 3,000 college stores nation-wide.
The NACS announced a business development agreement to take the benefits of inkjet cartirdge refilling to campuses across the US. Inkjet cartridge refiller Retail Inkjet Solutions(RIS) will be the exclusive provider of the service and in this collaboration the NAC'S will endorse and market the service to students across the US.
The refilling stations will allow students, faculty, administrators and the local community to drop off empty cartridges at participating college stores. The cartridge will then be refilled on-site using RIS’ “InkCenter” technology, which will cost 40 to 60 percent less than buying a new OEM cartridge.
NACS’ Vice President of Business Development Jeff Pavic said: "NACS is proud to partner with RIS to bring their high-quality inkjet refilling solution to campus stores across North America. This program aligns well with our College Store of 2015 initiative and serves as an example of how to provide services students and faculty need, while contributing to university sustainability objectives."
RIS’ Chief Marketing Officer Mike Stanicek agreed, adding: "Retail Inkjet Solutions has designed the InkCenter refill system to deliver like-new quality at a fraction of the price. Our refill users enjoy significant savings and they quickly become repeat refillers because of the quality our solution delivers.
“We are proud to partner with NACS in taking the benefits of inkjet cartridge refilling to the campus market."
The NACS represents the $10 billion collegiate retailing industry in the United States, with more than 3,000 collegiate retailers and approximately 1,100 associate members.
